Transforming Hearts, Conforming to Christ

Youth Group

God's covenantal mercies extend not only to adults, but also to our children. Children are part of God's covenantal relationship with the whole body of Christ (His church); as such, the body has a responsibility to each of them. In the Old Testament, when Israel came into God's presence, they brought their children to be instructed. Paul makes this same connection in the book of Ephesians, automatically including teaching on how to raise children. As parents, Ephesians 6:4 tells us to bring up our children "in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." Paul encourages Timothy to commit the truth of the gospel to "faithful men who will be able to teach others also" (2 Tim. 2:2). It is our hope and prayer that this process will begin from a young age at Covenant.
Fall 2020:
The youth group is not meeting at this time.

In the past, the youth of Covenant met together, for Bible teaching, eating, or a fun evening out. Past events have included rock climbing, paint ball, Lazertag, camping and Crazy Golf. These outings were open to both junior and senior high boys and girls.

Great Plains Summer Youth Camp

In past summers, Covenant youth joined up with other churches from the Texas area and traveled to Colorado for a time of learning and fun. In the mornings, the time was spent studying God's Word. The afternoons and evenings were filled with outdoor adventure activities.
This is a great time to grow in grace. Camp is open to both boys and girls from 6th through 12th grades.  Camp dates are in July.  Campers leave Covenant after morning worship on Sunday.  Both a male and a female church member chaperone the Covenant youth.

"Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame." 1 Peter 2:6

I was glad when they said to me, "Let us go into the house of the LORD."  Psalm 122:1
