Sunday SchoolSunday School classes meet
***Due to COVID-19, all Sunday school classes are virtual, via Zoom. Our Christian education program at Covenant seeks to follow Paul's exhortation to take every thought captive and to be renewed in the Spirit of your mind. Classes are offered for all ages, both youth and adult. Youth classes are organized by age; families which desire to study the Scriptures together may do so.
Youth ClassesIn addition to a nursery for children ages 0-2.5, Covenant offers six different youth classes organized by age. ***Due to COVID-19, Youth Sunday School classes are meeting online through May 2, 2021. January 17, 2021 - May 2, 2021 Joyce Schulting will teach the elementary students a curriculum entitled, "God's Design for Worship". It will help students see how the Old Testament tabernacle worship points to the coming Messiah. Christ fulfills the ceremonial law and ushers in a new type of worship centered in Himself. He becomes the high priest.
The Elementary class, grades 1-6, studied Pilgrim's Progress for Children during the fall/winter semester, September - December 13. The Junior High class studied The Westminster Shorter Catechism.
Adult ClassesAdult classes are offered each quarter and run for 13 weeks. In order to promote balanced growth, teaching is rotated through the Old Testament, the New Testament, Doctrine/Theology, and Christian Living. Elder Dave Hanagarne teaches the class using The Life and Theology of Paul by Guy Waters. The class meets online.
