Romans Theme:
‘The Gospel: The Righteous Are Justified by Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ’

17For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.  17For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.” … 21But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it—22the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus…. 1There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.  2For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death…. 28And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 29For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.  30And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified… 38For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 1:16-18; 3:21-24; 8:1-2, 28-30, 38-39; ESV).
